PA Challenge is a cluster of resources made available free of charge to teachers, students, parents and administrators throughout Pennsylvania, targeting eight high schools and their feeder middle schools in particular. PA Challenge is a project of Project GRAD USA and local partners, aiming to increase the number of students who graduate from high school and move on to a successful college career.
PA Challenge is made possible by a federal grant, the College Access Challenge Grant Program (CACGP). The CACGP is a federal formula grant program designed to foster partnerships among Federal, State and local government entities and philanthropic organizations to significantly increase the number of underrepresented students who enter and remain in college.
For PA Challenge, Project GRAD USA has partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA). This partnership will deliver coordinated, intensive college access services to 16,629 students in eight low-income high schools and their feeder middle schools while also providing financial aid information statewide.
PA Challenge will offer targeted services to the following high schools and their feeder middle schools; click on the schools below to view statistics for each district:
